Senior Production Artist / Manager
Job Description
Job Title: Senior Production Art Manager
Location: Fort Worth, TX Metro
Compensation: $80,000–$90,000 DOE
Schedule: Full-time | 100% Onsite
This is not a traditional production artist role.
We’re looking for a hands-on production leader who can manage people, workflow, quality, and execution inside a fast-paced print, apparel decoration, and manufacturing environment.
This person will lead the production art department, partner closely with sales and operations, and serve as the go-to leader for high-visibility production work.
What You’ll Do
• Lead and manage a team of 4–5 production artists/designers
• Own workflow, prioritization, deadlines, and production quality
• Act as the lead production artist on complex or high-priority projects
• Partner directly with sales teams on project feasibility and execution
• Maintain a strong presence on the production floor
• Ensure artwork files meet print and production standards
• Drive accountability, consistency, and process adherence across the department
• Coach and develop team members while maintaining high performance standards
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, organization, and workflow
What We’re Looking For
• 5+ years of production art, print production, apparel decoration, screen-printing, or manufacturing experience
• Previous leadership or management experience overseeing creative or production teams
• Advanced Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop skills
• Strong understanding of print production workflows, file setup, and quality control
• Experience in high-volume, deadline-driven production environments
• Strong communication and cross-functional coordination skills
• Hands-on, proactive leadership style
• Ability to balance quality, speed, and operational execution
This Role Is NOT a Fit If You
• Prefer a purely creative/design-focused role without operational ownership
• Want a desk-only management position
• Do not have experience leading teams in production environments
• Lack experience in print production, apparel decoration, manufacturing, or production workflows
• Struggle in fast-paced, highly accountable environments
Nice to Have
• Apparel decoration or screen-printing experience
• Embroidery or promotional products background
• ERP or production workflow system experience
• Experience partnering closely with sales and operations teams
Why This Role
This is a high-visibility leadership role inside a growing production environment where you’ll have direct impact on workflow, team performance, production quality, and operational execution.
The company is looking for someone who leads from the front, takes ownership naturally, and can elevate both the team and the production process.
